General Consensus

Is that we finish 3rd in division, out of the playoffs, at 8-8. I mean really? We were a kicker away from atleast 9-7 last year. But yeah, here's the consensus.

-Falcons are primed to dominate the division

-Saints* won't miss a beat

-Tampa is last no matter what

-Some people are primed to jump on our bandwagon as a "i told you so" by going against the odds.

I don't see why everyone thinks The Falcons are for sure going to dominate the rest of the NFCS. They mainly just have 2 really good WRs and a good running back. They don't have Cam. I think the competition in our division will be pretty even this year. It's going to be a tough division. Can't really say anything until the teams start playing.

Not that I think we will finish 3rd, but the Cowboys were 2 missd kicks away from 10-6 and stopping the Giants from making the playoffs. What could have happened last year doesn't mean poo.

The Giants were a mediocre team last season that got hot in the playoffs.....and they showed the same mediocre play last night.

If the Giants could have run the ball the outcome may have been better.their passing game looked pretty solid except for a few drops

I did not say that they were not a solid team. Just that they are not an elite team. They barely squeaked into the playoffs last year and got hot at the right time.

They are a mediocre 9-7 or so team....just like they were the past few years.

To early for me to get into a pissing contest. Your opinion is they are and have been a mediocre team.My opinion is they are elite by virtue they won the superbowl and were missing 2 cbs last night.

I am not trying to get into a pissing contest. Just pointing out that they did not make the playoffs in 2010 and limped into the playoffs in 2011 with a 9-7 record. They got hot at the right time, but are a very inconsistent team during the season.

All 9 of those wins were 4th quarter game winning drives by eli as well. They didn't dominate a single game last season. They were unstoppable in the playoffs however. It's all a hoax and they are just trying to stir up another boston vs new york rivalry.

I can't really blame ppl for picking us to be third in the division however, especially when we could go 10-6 or 11-5 and STILL be third in the division. I think all 3 of us (Saints*, falcons, panthers) have an equal shot of landing anywhere in those first three spots. All of us have outrageous offenses and defenses loaded with question marks. I honestly think we have a legitimate shot of having the best defense of the three to just barely push us over the Saints* n falcons.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
