Jerry Rice just took Cam over Steve Young

Jerry Rice really loves him some Cam it seems... hell, didn't he compare him to Michael Jordan a few months ago as well? Can't say I argue with him one bit.

:cam:

True dat.

Cam has rejuvenated Steve smith into a consistent 100 yd per game player again. Rice is without a doubt the greatest we in NFL history and did wonders without having to be rejuvenated, imagine Cam tossing to him!

My 7 year old son asked me how old Cam Newton was a few days ago. A day later he asked was Cam married like my wife and I. Yesterday he asked was Cam number 1 just to be sure. My son has never been this interested in the Panthers even with the D.Will, Stewart and T.Davis jerseys he has. He has been to multiple games and fan fests since he was born but still, I have not seen him this excited about watching the Panthers. Cam has the ability to draw in the younger generations with his style of awesome play that will change the non-chalant attitudes of Panther fans to the over zealous fan fanatics like the Steelers, Packers, Eagles, and Giants. Cam just needs to stay hungry which I think he will.

    • Enlighten me. What is the mind of a Bryce simp thinking?
    • I don't want Canales fired but he's definitely opened the door to a fair amount of skepticism and criticism for some things. As far as Rico Dowdle goes I was thrilled with how well he had been playing earlier in the season but I questioned the sustainability of it myself. And it was by no means the first time a lesser known RB came out of nowhere and put up great numbers. It's why the position is so plug and play now. And we see Chuba has came back down to Earth as well following a very productive season last year. And the elephant in the room is it took the Panthers having the highest paid OL in the league in order for both of them to put up the numbers that they did. In terms of the lack of running game all around right now it leads to not just a question of the gameplan and the playcalling but to a question of how do we establish the run anyway with such a pathetic passing game? I mean that's a basic building block of modern football. You pass to setup the run and vice versa. We need to see this offense with a QB who isn't Bryce Young or Andy Dalton.
    • Rico could have run for 100+. Rico is a volume RB.  He is a better RB today than Hubbard.  Not a Hubbard diss. And Dave has ensured Rico never gets his volume to go off ever since he was critical publicly of Dave Canales
