They also had Rosario/King nabbing about 200yds and a touchdown each. What's interesting is that they had a lot of backup QBs getting attempts and points, but for us it's Jake with all the numbers and McCown with -5 rushing yds on one attempt. Go figure.

Teams will definitely narrow in on Double Trouble this season. It'll be interesting to see how our boys handle it. Teams will now be going out of their way to plan for them like they do Smitty.

That really doesn't sound too easy to plan for Smitty and Double Trouble.

You can only do so much to stop the run game, but if you don't have the men to battle it out in the trenches you won't be able to. I think that's why fox relys on it so much, to be redundant, the run game is reliable.

I think the only teams that will be able to really shake us up this year on offense will be the giants, eagles, vikings, and patriots.

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
