One thing that upset me the most at tonites game

I won't fault Giants fans for going, or even for guys who've lived there for years refusing to cheer for the Panthers. I've been in NYC for over a year now and I will always be a Panthers fan. I thought about maybe giving the Jets a try too, since they're AFC but... nah. So if I ever went to a Giants game I'd be a Panthers fan 100% and maybe even wear a jersey even if they were playing a different team. I really think it has to do with the wine and cheese PSL crowd. I've been to seven years worth of games and sat in the silver seats. While they are good fans who love the team, they dress in slack, loafers, and button downs. I'm not sure how rampant these types are throughout the stadium, but they're the ones who sell their tickets. We've all said it'll take decades to get the youngins grown up who will be handed their parents tickets, but these will be the kids of those wine and cheesers. It really speaks to Charlotte when you boil it down. It's a banking city, it's a transplant city, it's a snobby city. It's not blue collar like a Philly or Pittsburg. I lived there 18 years but I'm glad I got out. I don't honestly ever see Charlotte changing or the loud fans taking over the timid ones.

    • Also, you don't really get good value by drafting a center in the first.
    • First off, we haven't been ignoring the defense. We have drafted several defensive players, but, perhaps more importantly, we have added good pieces in free agency. Secondly, the offense was still kinda bad (27th or so depending where you look at). You can't just say we can't pick an offensive guy while acknowledging that the offense wasn't good. Everything is on the table. Like I said above, it seems kind of counterproductive to say that we shouldn't draft an offensive player high unless they're at certain positions. The offense was mediocre at best. Sure, we had an uncanny knack to win some close games at opportune times, but the offense wasn't really good. To me, it makes little sense to put limitations on who/what we should draft when we need an upgrade at so many positions. What you look at is trying to get the best value--bang for your buck so to speak--and that's the way it should be. D-Mo has used FA to set up the draft in order not to be pigeonholed into anything, and that's the way that it should be.
    • Hubert has plenty of money. I don't hate the guy. I think he a legit good guy. This is Ron Rivera all over again for me. It's just very obvious a coaching change is needed and it audka we gottaboart ways with a good guy and I'd much rather it work out but the same issues appearing again and again year after year are clearly shouting what needs to happen. With that said, if we hire Todd Golden, that's it. I'm out. I'd greatly prefer to just keep getting disappointed by Hubert. I can at least stand to root for that.
