Cold Hard Truths About This Team and the State of The Panthers...

1. Stating the Obvious, but Mcdermont needs to be fired at the end of the year, if not before. Eli Manning was playing 7-7 out there. Whats the point if you are going to give the receivers such a big cushion? I would rather our corners be physical at the LOS and get torched than have them play of 10 yards and get eaten alive all night. Letting a running back who no one outside the NC State fan base ever heard before a weeks ago shred you is a disgrace.

2. Jon Beason needs to come off the field on passing downs. Another reason why Mcdermont sucks, he find a way to get Kuechly on the field in situations he excels in the most when Beast is getting raped in coverage.

3. I'm not saying Ive been a huge Hurney guy in his tenure here, but I acknowledge the good he has done despite Hurney haters reluctance to do so, but last night solidified my belief that this team needs a new GM. Hurney has ignored the most important aspect of a winning football team outside a franchise QB, and that is pass rush. Outside of CJ (who isn't living up to his contract at all), there is no one who can't get to the passer. While our opponent last night goes 2 or 3 deep on the D-line.

4. Chud is vastly overrated. Coming out with the wildcat BS when we have Cam Newton? Calling plays that takes ages to develop when Cam has no time to wipe his ass? We didn't see one screen pass till the 2nd half if I recall, Chud can't adjust worth poo.

5. The least of our problems is Cam (some Cam haters will argue this), but he really needs to stop going full retard 2-3 times a game. I know he was trying to makes plays a couple of times on long down and distance, but some decisions he makes those couple of times a game are just stupid. Stop coming out after a loss in a press conference and saying the right things to not turn the ball over and actually do it Cam.

The cold hard truth is...

JR is our owner and Hurney is our GM.

We will keep this coaching staff for way too long, like we did the last one. No one is getting fired. No jobs are being lost. We'll keep seeing this crap for the rest of this season, and likely next season as well.

Odds are good that you are right.

It is up to Hurney to do the right thing and resign at the end of the season if we don't make the playoffs.

Panthers Organization will muddle along as a mediocre team - right up to the point where they get sold and moved to another market - then they will excel.

Charlotte is cursed for Pro teams.

Yikes. One loss and we should fire everyone. Two losses and we should give up hope for all eternity and sell the team! Watch out for this guy, hate to see him after our third loss this year.

Biggest problem is the lack of talent on both sides of the ball. Overpaying mediocre players, missing on draft picks, and no real free agent impact players signed have taken a toll. Steve Smith is getting older so his impact days are pretty much over, who's there to take over? No one is.

Those are all symptoms of a lack of knowledge at the highest levels of this organization.

The scary part about this is if we go 6-10 or under in back to back seasons(this and next season)...

And the ultimate fear of Cam leaving happens...

That would destroy our fanbase for a LONG time

There is a reason the top handful of teams stay the top handful of teams. Why do Pittsburgh, New England, and the NY Giants stay good year after year? Those teams always find gems in the draft, don't give mediocre players huge contracts, and cut players when they decline or get injured. Some teams stay very good for a long time due to a great QB...Colts, NO, and SD but once that QB is gone they'll decline. Those teams must capitalize while that QB is in their prime.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
