Since we have appeared to have lost it, let's stop and think for a second.

Offensively, I felt like we looked good the whole game. We looked like an NFL team. Penalties killed us. I'm sick to death of some people saying "it's Cam's fault for the fumble". Well, then it's also Smith's fault for his fumble that killed a drive that looked like it had promise. It's the fault of all the false starts that killed drives. That one fumble by Cam didn't cost us the game. Sure, we would have been able to run out the clock, but we still ended up in a VERY good situation for that final drive by Atlanta. Nakamura flailed like an idiot and gave up a 60 yard bomb.

Defensively, I DEFY any of you to say that our defense didn't look impressive. We got after Ryan. Sure, we gave up some runs, but those didn't kill us. The poor tackling at times did, but that was more on tackling receivers (namely Gonzo and Turner). So, when it comes down to it, our defense as a unit played well. Norman did a nice job. Nakamura simply lost us this game, if you want to point fingers. 2 deep balls that lead to 10 points overall. You do the math.

Before the half, STUPID clock management. Period. No excuse.

There. There is your perspective. Feel free to freak-out and call for people's jobs, even though, on the whole, we did fine today.

Norman may very well be the worst starting CB in the league right now. Naka was horrible outside of one play. Linebackers were complete ass with Keuchly getting an exception. Newton played well but continues to be the exact opposite of clutch. Olsen had a great game.

I don't pretend to know enough to bag on our front office, but our coaching staff is a bad joke. Rivera is midway through his second season and still can't figure out a play clock. There are no words for McDermott.

Good post, LO. One disagreement...Norman is going to improve, but he is getting repeatedly picked on. I just don't believe he is quite ready to start. If we had a really good FS, then maybe, but we don't.

We should have signed a vet to tide us over until Norman had time to get acclimated.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
