Let's Put Things in Perspective

My brethren, this team is nothing but an upset team at best. A team that can cause problems for teams looking to make it to the playoffs. So if any of you are still hoping this team will make a wildcard run, you will be sorely disappointed. So here is what we should watch for the rest of the season.

1. Kuechly's development

2. Gettis' return (see if he has any star potential)

3. Charles Johnson's progress of being a dominant pass rusher

4. Cam's development (Hopefully this coaching staff won't hinder his career)

Those are some of the things I'm going to watch for. Hopefully next year, we will have a new GM and perhaps a new head coach. We should have a pretty high draft pick, so hopefully we get a game changer there, because we don't have the money to get someone in free agency. What are some other things we should watch for?

Who'll step up and be the true no.2 WR. Dnt even talk bout no.1 after Smitty is gone bc we don't have one on the team ATM.

How well Norman can keep playing and his consistency. Hopefully we don't have to draft a high cb next yr. I hope Norman is the answer.

I'm not even going to keep up with Kuechly. I'm pist at him. He's no Urlacher, Cushing or Laurinaitis.

And I'll keep an eye on how many plays Naka is going to cost us.

Those we should enjoy watching the development of:

Cam, Norman, Alexander, Kuechly, LaFell, Pilares, Silatolu.

In the offseason we need:

At least one safety, a receiver, a CB, a DT, a T, a G, and a TE (I was a big Barney fan but he has yet to show very much) Free agency or draft, I dont care. As much as I love him it would be in the best interest of the team to trade Dwill to a team hurting for a RB, or outright cut him. Not because he isnt a great part of this offense or that we dont love him. That money NEEDS to go elsewhere on the team. There are too many glaring painful holes that should be filled in free agency.

    • Care to elaborate why you disagree? We kicked the ball off 3 times and we kept the Browns to starting field position of the 22, 27, and 10 (would have been 21 before a penalty). All 3 of those are successes with the modern kickoff rule.
    • Its August so obviously quality options are not there. The question is whether any improvement can be made to the bottom of the depth chart.
    • NFL has a huge amount of parity.  The talent level between most NFL starters outside of the top 5 to 10 guys at a position is very comparable.  2020 worst teams Jacksonville Jaguars - 1-15 (worst record in NFL) New York Jets - 2-14 Cincinnati Bengals - 4-11-1 Atlanta Falcons - 4-12 Houston Texans - 4-12 Carolina Panthers - 5-11 Detroit Lions - 5-11 Philadelphia Eagles - 4-11-1 Los Angeles Chargers - 7-9 Denver Broncos - 5-11 2024 Worst teams New York Giants - 3-14 (tied for worst) Cleveland Browns - 3-14 (tied for worst) Tennessee Titans - 3-14 (tied for worst) New England Patriots - 4-13 Carolina Panthers - 5-12 Jacksonville Jaguars - 4-13 Las Vegas Raiders - 4-13 New York Jets - 5-12 Chicago Bears - 5-12 Arizona Cardinals - 8-9 Bengals, Texans, Lions, Eagles, Broncos and the Jags have all made the the playoffs in the last 3 years. What I'm saying is it's stupid to argue when team is the worst when there is so much parity and the system allows quick turnarounds.
