If Cam Newton yelled 'get off my f***in field'

Cam is the most judged 2nd year qb i've ever seen......it's appalling actual cause stat wise he's playing better then a lot of so called qb in there 2nd year(mark sanchez, sam bradford, ect) but he's held under a microscope.....that's why it's up for us fans to back him up when the media takes a stab at him Cam needs to feel that the fans of Carolina has his back no matter what and at this point we don't and it's a shame.

That's not the point dummy. The point is that all other QBs/players in the league can get away with that crap, but as soon as Cam does anything he is the most immature player in the league and a terrible leader.

Because he would probably do it at somebody else's field while trailing by 20.

Not comparing Cam to Ron artest but hear me out..... Its just like if Ron Artest does a hard foul and Kobe does a hard foul... Its going to be looked at differently.

I say that because Matt Ryan is known as the Peyton Manning type guy... Not known from anything controversial.... Cam is more new age... Does antics but i still dont think thats why they would say something..... I think they would say something because dude is so hot and cold... Win he is winning he is smiling and having fun like a kid in a candy shop... When he lose.... Dude just act like he the only dude suffering during that lose.... He gotta remember he is a leader.

I the media has a mindset that Cam is immature so they will take things in differently then say if a McNabb did something...... Just using it as an example...

Fool the media rode Mcnabb's ass. From the moon walk he did in the end zone to when he wouldn't take their baiting and saying he wasn't a leader. Folks have short memories.

Yeah, really... coming from a 40 year old white guy. Never really bought in to the double-standard until Cam came along, now I see it as clear as day.

When a white QB is caught on camera screaming "GET THE F*CK OFF MY FIELD" it's because he's a "competitor" and he "wears his heart on his sleeve".

When a black QB is caught on camera screaming "GET THE F*CK OFF MY FIELD" it's because he's a thug and immature and has a bad attitude.

That's what black folks have been saying for years. Could you imagine Mcnabb, McNair, Cunningham, Vick or Culpepper doing that. These dudes played with constant criticism from what they said to what the wore to how they spoke to how their hair was.

Cam is no different same poo different day.

I think it kind of relates to paying your dues before you can get away with that stuff. Maybe the media and non-Panther fan base feels he should pay a little more dues before he starts acting like TO all the time.

Mcnabb paid his dues for how many years and the media still fuged with him.

    • Would Morgan or Beason have been HOFers' if injuries hadn't derailed their careers?  I was not a close watcher of the game when Morgan was in his prime but I thought Beason had a few seasons at close to Lukes' level of play.
    • Franchise QBs feast when things are rolling and the tide that raises boats when things are going sideways.  Bryce isn't that. He's a complimentary player, that's it.  When the defense and STs are on point, he plays loose and it shows.  When we are in a dog fight and things haven't gone our way, he struggles.  It's that simple. He's not a horrible QB, but he's not top tier either.  So the question begs, is this worthy of a second contract?  The answer should be no.  It definitely is my answer. Bryce will never be a QB that can produce wins largely on his arm.  That's a FRANCHISE QB, any other QB is simply a placeholder at the starter's position until that guy can be found.   At some point the excuses of lack of weapons will be a straw man.  Heck, it's nearly there now.  I mean if he doesn't look even better than last year will we blame it on the TE position?  'Well if Bryce only had a player like Kelce, Kittle or Gronk on this team...'  Are we really going to do that?
    • When I arrived at college, I was 18, not too much younger than some of these draft picks.  It was not a huge school, but there were guys on the team who were 21, 22, 23....playing ahead of me.  I was seventh on the depth chart.  Those guys have been through a few seasons, were stronger, more knowledgeable.  I was a better raw player than some of them, but those other factors matter.  As I grew stronger, more familiar with the playbook, and learned what it was like to play in college, I gradually improved and with that, I rose up the depth chart.  It took most of my freshman year for the light to come on.  Had the coach thrown me into the starting lineup day 1, I would have probably failed.    And that was college.  So I agree with you based on my experience on a much lower level.  Frankly, I think that is why so many kids drafted to fill huge gaps bust.  The teams are desperate.  Anyone who looks to fill vacancies in the starting lineup through the draft is desperate.  You draft depth to develop.  For this reason, I say, "Let Walker start for a while."  Maybe Brazzell can be our WR 4.  Throw Hunter into a rotation and ask him to do one or two things.  Freeling needs some strength and he needs to work on run blocking.
