2 years from now.....

I don't figure this will be a popular thread. When are mine ever popular except when I post something highly controversial that gets the blood pumping of others.

That being said..

2 years from now, we'll have an elite QB. Cam has all the ability in the world. He isn't a master at the pro level yet. Not that it is expected of any QB in their 2nd year.

Started watching last Sunday's game again...

Our QB is so very young, and still very raw. I don't think many took that into considering as their hopes and expectations for this season grew.

That affects every play.

That affects how other play makers get and don't get the ball. I mention this cause Tolbert seems to be everybody's favorite target this week.

Most QB development shows that QB's show a huge improvement in their 3rd year, as they eventually begin to "get it".

That would be next year, if things go well.

We'll still have a good backfield.

It will be interesting to know who will be our #1, as it certainly won't be Steve Smith, or any other receiver currently on the roster.

But Cam, will be a complete QB. He'll be much better at reading defenses. He'll be much better at his decision making. He'll be much better at spreading the ball around.

...I kinda agree with ur azz for once... when Hurneys gone the landscape of this team is going to change...Cam will have the experience he needs and develope repport with some other receivers... Smity, Gross and Gamble who ar 75 years old in NFL years will also be gone....sad to say.

Are you posting this because Cam is having a terrible game?

I actually started to post this last Tuesday. Holding off because I hadn't decided how to end it.

So it sat unfinished in my phone all week. I never clicked the send button.

I'm even curious how it was posted Sunday, considering I've been staying away from the huddle.

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
