How many rookies will break Cam's passing record this year?

No. They are ordinary numbers actually. Better than Cam Newton's by a good deal, but just ordinary. That's the point. Of couse, their teams all have much better records than the Panthers, but that's another story.

None of those guys numbers are better than Cam's by a great deal. Locker hasnt even played much this year, Dalton has thrown a pick in every game he's played, and Ponder leans on AP heavily. And you said yourself they are "ordinary" which is what you described Cam as. So by your own definition, none of those guys are special.

Hey idiot who is on pace to break Cam's record???

Luck and Weedon are on pace to break it. Tannehill is right there and RG III has a very good shot if he has a strong second half.

Luck is going to shatter the record, barring injury.

So we're in full swing today.

Highlandfire posted his usual racist/uninformed SCAMMMM bullshit.

Brooklyn Bully with his useless daily fly-by menstruation.

Grits throwing pie at any troll post he can find because Cam neutered his college team.

TheMaulClaw failing at a troll post.

Just waiting on Meangelo now and the circle is complete.

Why are we so worried about what other QB's are doing??? Rather they are excelling or not is irrelevant.

PLus all situations are different, all QB's are in different situations and asked to do different things, so even if we did entertain this fact, throwing out a number alone like passing yards without adding objectivity to it is pointless and proves nothing.

Cam lickers are unbelievable. Cam Newton ranks behind Russell Freakin' Wilson in passer rating .Russell Wilson. 5 foot 10 inch Russell Wilson.

My whole point is simply that Cam Newton is just an ordinary second year quarterback. That's it.

Luck is going to shatter the record, barring injury.

Luck has 1674 yard passing in 7 games, for an average of about 239 yards. Now if you multiply that 239 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3826 yards. Short of Cam's rookie season.

RG3 has 1601 yard passing in 8 games, for an average of about 200 yards. Now if you multiply that 200 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3200 yards. Well short of Cam's rookie season.

Tannehill who got injured today and only got 18 yards passing, has 1454 yards in 7 games for an average of about 207 yards. Now if you multiply that 207 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3323 yards. Well short of Cam's rookie season.

R.Wilson has 1230 yards in 8 games for an average of about 153 yards. Now if you multiply that 153 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 2448 yards. Unbelievably short of Cam's rookie season.

B. Weeden has 1783 yards in 8 games for an average of about 223 yards. Now if you multiply that 223 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3568 yards. Well short of Cam's rookie season.

Feel stupid or what...

FYI they don't update the stat totals until the next day or after all the games are played, I don't remember which. Either way Luck is projected at about 4400 yards and Weeden at 3800. The others need some big games to make up ground. Add Lucks total from today to the total your using (which is only from 6 games and not 7) and you'll get actual accurate numbers. If you don't believe me just open up a game log for one of the QBs and add up the totals yourself.
