Yahoo! Sports: Steve Smith Could be Traded

89 isnt going anywhere, though somewhere was talking about how Detriot should be a team that make a move for Smitty.

Smitty will retire here and he'll only wear black and blue.

Though I would love for us to trade him to a contending team like Houston so he can win a Super Bowl.

He deserves so much more than being on a 1-6 team.

I say a 3rd round is a done deal.

So he says he could be traded but JR loves him too much to let that happen...

Sorry, I guess I missed the story here? LOL

You're 100% correct, you missed the story. In fact, you need to work on your reading skills.

Just because an OP (myself for this matter), posts a video or article that a journalist wrote that doesn't mean the OP agrees with them. Hence, my opinion about #89 not going anywhere.

Either you guys start contributing to threads positively or go keep starting new threads about why Cam Newton chewing gum is the reason why we lose every week.

I really think Smith will retire a Panther. I dont know if it will be this year or in the future. He and his family do not want to move. He made that clear in his interview after he signed the extension. I think he is at piece, for lack of a better word, with not getting a Super Bowl win. He is a family man now even more than a football player, and he cares more about his family's happyness than his own. I think if we tried to trade him he would just retire, so that he would not have to move.

If 89 is traded, I can tell you 100% that I would sell my tickets and probably wouldn't watch this team on tv either. I would support the team from afar but in the same way I pull for other local teams.

LOL

we need more fans like you...

It says Yahoo bloggers create stupid articles to generate traffic.

Contrary to what a lot of people here has been saying about Yahoo Sports, they are actually above and beyond ESPN in terms of pure journalism. They broke the stories at USC (OJ Mayo) and Miami (Boosters) and other major sports scandals.

As far as Andy Behrens goes, he's a straight fantasy football guy which doesn't make sense to me why he would include Smith in his video. Everyone he lists in his video, Steven Jackson, Legarette Blount, Deangelo Williams and Dwayne Bowe have already been confirmed to have garnered trade inquiries.

Why would he include Steve Smith above all players? I have no idea. Maybe he knows something or he is just speculating. If he is speculating, he goes out of his way to include #89.
