Brilliant call by Chud out of zone read look...and the RX for success

4th quarter.

1st and 10.

Ball on Carolina 9.

Chud goes shotgun, zone read look...

Carolina fans everywhere howl in dismay...

Play action...

Redskins defense completely fooled...

Edwards down left side line wide open...completely wide open...

Newton hits him (but then every QB in the NFL would have) 82 yards to the Redskin 9...

Brilliant call.

Pretty much put the game away...

Without it?

Panthers are 12 of 22 passing for 119 yards.

The formula for this team to be successful is clear:

Continue to play great defense...

Keep down and distance as manageable as possible...

Don't turn the ball over.

Protect your struggling second year quarterback.

The Panthers are becoming good enough to win with just a pedestrian performance at quarterback.

The did it today, in fact.

Let the vitriol fly...

Or the key could be.....for our RBs to occasionally go off and have WR threats get open downfield more often (like last year).

Or heaven forbid, STs make a play once every 4 games would be a true dream...

Issue is Cam really gets little help outside his D and Smith.

this is what we did differently today. we ran short-intermediate routes all day instead of looking 20+ yards down the field. why we won imo, we're pretty hard to stop on 3rd and short.

Its insane how much we bit on the play action pass against RGIII and how little we have used the play action pass this season. Our WR's have no speed and therefore get no seperation so trying to get them open off play fakes is the no brainer thing to do. Especially since Chud likes to call a heavy passing game.

Also, why no more two TE sets? It was so incredibly successful last season. The coaching staff has no faith in our backup tight ends.
