For those of you wanting to cut Josh Norman...

Ok maybe im blind but Josh Norman is nearly always getting burned, has dropped some easy picks and always seems to be yards away from his man. Josh Norman is another prime example of when fans of teams severly overrate their players

What rookie (or vet, for that matter) hasn't been burned?

The jury is still out on Norman. With his attitude and work ethic, it seems to me like he would be a player that any fan would root for. It's certainly "severely" premature to call him a bust in the purest sense of the word. Being that he was a late round pick, from a football perspective, you really can't call him a bust at all. He, like most, needs time to progress, but it's not like he isn't showing some promise (IMHO).

BTW, I haven't seen him drop any "easy" picks.

I agree with you but I'm not as high on him as most. You can't teach speed. He try's to hide it by playing off. Which killed us against the giants and allowed the bears to run the same slant all the way down the field.

I want him to succeed, I want every Panther to be great.

I think his popularity is based on the one play he made at fan fest and his trash talk. Without those two things he's quite Nakamura-esque

Not really.....Nakamura is a physically limited vet.

Norman has great athletic ability and is a rookie.

Yeah, Norman likes great speed but athletically he is a beast.

I must admit, I haven't really judged him from the perspective of lacking speed, but I will pay closer attention now that you mentioned it. I thought the playing off thing was due t coaching and/or inexperience. Compensating for a lack of speed? Hmm? Perhaps. Notwithstanding that possibility, distances and angles do come with experience. Just food for thought.

It's December, the team has three wins, the GM has been fired, the special teams coach has been fired, the head coach will be fired....do you want ass sunshine or to discuss the realities surrounding the situation? You guys can pretend all you want but Norman is not a bright spot. Maybe he can get there and he should be given the opportunity....and he will.

I never pretended anything. You didn't answer my question.
