One game? Based on the Chi game Cam sucks and should be cut as well.

That wasn't his only bad game. That's just the most recent example and that's SAD that I can use our most recent game against a really shitty team.

Do you really need me to sit here and list every bad game for you? The dude is done being an elite tackle, and we need to do what winning franchises do and cut ties if it means freeing up money and adding a younger player for the future.

I love me some gross but he is donezo.

You blaim others for not watching game tape or checking stats and yet you claim he sucked in a game in which profootball states:

"particularly LT Jordan Gross, who was excellent at the point of attack."

As I havn´t watched the rerun I think I good with thier opinion for now.

Sure, Gross might be a cap casualty. But make no mistake, his replacmant will we not be as good as he is (unless we waste a 1st needed elsewhere or get really lucky).

I did.

I watched the game as it happened, the condensed version of the game, as well as the coach's film.

Jordan Gross gave up two pressures the entire game. I repeat, he was only beaten twice by Hali. I exclusively watched Gross two days ago and posted this in the other Gross thread (which you responded to). On both of those plays where Gross was beat, Cam scrambled for 7yds. The other play where Gross got beat? When LaFell dropped the potential TD.

Otherwise, I saw him knock down Hali at least 3 times. They also gashed the Chiefs more often than not when running behind Gross.

From the game I saw, Gross looked great. From the other games I've seen, Gross has looked fine. His $8+ million salary + his age has most of the chicken littles here worried from what I can tell because his play has definitely not been the reason.

Yes, because he played great in the game you claimed he was terrible in. I'd be glad to confirm whether or not you are correct (granted, some folks would consider giving up just one pressure an apocalyptic failure).

I might even have to put forth some extra effort and get screen caps of every play to show how clean Newton's back is thanks to Gross ;)

the guy is not worth his pay, and i remember saying this 2 years ago. one of those pressures vs Hali should have been a sack but the QB threw him off and escaped the pocket. the eagles game Curry gave him an inside move and got a sack, and of course the bucs game Bowers put him on skates to get a sack.

i know hindsight is 20/20 but Cordy Glenn is looking real nice right about now, and he can play OT and G.

Dude it's okay, you can hang your Jordan Gross jersey up and it will be a cool way to remember him.

Sacks aren't the only thing that matter in pass rushing. Gross also has to block for our running backs. His performance as not been worth his pay, SIMPLE and PLAIN.

Cut him, get money, draft a replacement.

Or do you like being good ole complacent Carolina every year?

I'd rather be complacent with Gross than complacent with Fua, Hangartner, Nakamura, whoever lines up at RG this week.

Yes, those 4 suck bad. That has nothing to do with Gross' salary or performance.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's good, but we can't continue to pay $10.5 million a year for "good". To put it in perspective, he earns way more than those other 4 combined.

      I think the Bevell hire has more to do with adding actual veteran head coaching experience to the staff than anything else. But I do wholeheartedly agree that the obsession in general with Seattle needs to come to an end. I mean we plucked the one guy there to be our GM who turned out to be our worst GM in franchise history in just a few short years and that's really saying something given our history there. Clearly trying to mimick Seattle in any way has not been productive. As far as Idzik many of us have asked the same question but at this point in time it doesn't really matter anymore because Canales is either going to lead this franchise to a winning record or he will be shown the door.

      That’s why Bevell is a good move. Idzik might not be chopped liver, he is just inexperienced and even less ready to be the play caller than Canales. I still say the playbook is limited which is a hinderance to calling plays, I would imagine.    Anyway Beavis lol… no Bevell, got to consecutive SBs as an OC and won one with 48 points or something. Should have won the second one. And had several more good years there.    They were the team we had to learn how to beat it took us til the third year I think before we could go into Seattle and successfully compete.   That is glass half full thinking, yep, but that is head and shoulders over what we have had here for a while. Certainly now.     In addition.. It was Canales’ boss. He knew more then , I would bet he knows more now. I can’t look at this as anything but a potential positive thing.  Hell he might be the guy that can look at Dave and say what the fug are you doing? And Dave will listen. I think I can hope for that.  Maybe not.
