I Saw Gettis On The Sideline

It could be that he's just not getting much time in practice to get catches from Cam. He should probably be spending every waking minute of his life trying to become bestest friends with #1. Murphy has been staying after practice every day to catch passes with Cam, is Gettis trying to do so too? I just have a feeling if Cam felt that Gettis should get more playing time he would.

Since when does Cam decide who plays and who doesn't? Thought that was a coaching decision....

It's pretty easy for a QB to help make that decision even if it is indirect. The coaches would be using him to help evaluate who is ready and who is not. And if Cam says he is more comfortable with a certain player it means something.

I also saw LaFell on the bench - it looked to me like he was bitching to/at Cam. Anybody catch that?

No... I did see him once standing

I saw Gettis congratulate Cam after that run... thats when I saw him. If the man is dressed, he can play especially seeing we're not going anywhere

I think that argument landed him the doghouse

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
