Why not Andy Reid?

Agree in that Chud's problem isn't necessarily that he runs a bunch of "college" plays, it's that he is sometimes a bad judge of when to use them and how often to use them. He also just does some boneheaded things that are hard to figure out. A good example is his use of the wildcat on occasion, when every single time it is a DWill run. You might as well have DWill come on to the field carrying a sign saying "we're going to run the ball now, so go ahead and stack the box".

As far as Reid, I think the guy is suffering a bit of burn out and probably needs to take a year off.

chud even admitted to not noticing who was on the field when he called plays. that in itself is inexcusable.

it seems like he's got all of his plays on a bulletin board and his play selection is a result of him throwing a dart blind-folded.

kelly's success has to do with him creating and then exploiting holes in the defense. he seems to be a lot more aware of what needs to happen and better about calling the right plays at the right time.

i think some people said reid offense would take some time for cam to learn...not that he cant.

the WCO is notorious for taking years to learn because it's so exact and complex and there is so much going on in a weee little amount of space in a weeee little space of time and the verbiage is the most complicated of any system in the league.

it's known for taking QBs at least 3 years to grasp.

it's not just cam. it's all QBs. all offensive players. the league is abandoning the system in favor of simplified spread offenses that make better use of the whole field and the rules protecting the passing game.

    • I want to like Woods more, but there's something about him that I don't think will translate well over to the NFL. I thought he and Banks had potential to be our pick at 19, but I'm moving more away from this....defintely on Banks.  If Freeling isn't there at 19, I hope we move back.  In the mid-20s, I'd feel more comfortable with Iheanachor or Lomu. I don't feel like Miller can play LT, though he'd be a great replacement for Moton at RT. I'm also out on Proctor for OT.
    • Of the two, Decker would be my choice, but not at the pricetag he would command.  TBH, I'm in the Salyer camp as a competent fringe starter that is better than Yosh was, but unsure if he can hold up for 17+ regular season games. My guess is he would be a gamble like others are making on Chenal, Turk, etc. in rolling the dice on a promising young guy stuck buried on a talented depth chart.
    • Yeah, leaving Miami Ohio out would be dumb. Almost as dumb as now calling the play in games the "1st round". In a field of 64 you can't tell me there's not room for a 31-1 team. Hell, I volunteer my Heels to stay at home and give them our spot. LOL
