I know this isn't on topic with Cam...but does anyone now what happened to Munnerlyn towards the end of the game? Looked like he got hit by a teammate and was holding his arm. Ran straight off the field.

Someone his his funnybone with their helmet.

EDIT: *hit his

Sorry I'm a little drunk.

According to Charlotte Observer:

X-rays on Cam Newton's ribs, ankle reveal no fractures

The Panthers' season is over, so the injury update on quarterback Cam Newton is not necessarily pressing.

But any time a franchise quarterback goes down hard and is scheduled for follow-up tests, the franchise understandably has a high level of concern.

The X-rays on Newton's ribs and left ankle were negative this week, Panthers trainer Ryan Vermillion said. According to Vermillion, an X-ray and MRI exam on Newton's ankle revealed a minor high sprain.

Newton told Vermillion if the Panthers were playing this week, “he would be a full go and there is no way he would miss a game,” Vermillion said via email.

Newton left the game against the Saints for five plays Sunday after defensive lineman Turk McBride rolled up on Newton's left ankle. After getting the ankle taped, Newton returned and finished the game.

Afterward, Newton said an earlier hit injured his ribs.

Newton, 6-5 and 245 pounds, has been resilient his first two seasons. The Saints' game was the first time he had missed multiple plays due to an injury.

FTFY. Thanks for the update.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
