DeAndre Hopkins

If the panthers take him I will root for the kid to become a dominant world beating hall of famer but from what little of him I've seen of him I don't get the sense that's what he is going to be. Do I think he will be good? yes. i just don't get a sense of greatness from him.

In a second round pick that's fine as a top 15 pick i would prefer something closer to greatness. Now who do I think fits that description and our team needs at pick 14, no real idea.

Ultimately Im probably wrong about the kid, you've obviously seen more of him than me , but my brief impression is he isn't a top 15 pick kind of talent.

terrance williams h-6'2 w-205

I'll admit I haven't seen Williams play a single game this year so I know him by reputation alone. He sounds good but not great, like Hopkins but faster with less route running polish. Again haven't seen him just what I've heard.

Honestly the only wr to impress me this year(that's in the draft) would be Patterson and he is super raw. Unless he dominates the combine and his pro day I wouldn't want him at 14 either. If we could trade back to the 20s sure but at 14 nope.

FTR Patterson is a blast to watch too and has a ton of potential. Hopkins is just more refined.

If you could promise me a good OT prospect in the 1st along with Patterson in the 2nd, I'd take that. Just don't know how likely it is.

Patterson will have a transitory period as well, more than likely. Not that that's a bad thing.

Yeah if you give me a good LT in round one and Patterson in round 2 that would be perfect.

1. Keenan Allen

2. Cordarrelle Patterson

3. Deandre Hopkins

4. Darick Rogers

5. Terrance Williams/ Justin Hunter

nice.....i wonder why alot of people have hunter first as a prospect. i think twill has the best deep speed but i believe patterson will be the biggest all around play maker.

ill have to watch more tape on the oithers thanks man.

i like Hunter but coming off that acl injury he just did not look like the same player.as the year went on,he got more confidence in the knee and some speed came back. if he kills the combine and the knee checks out than watch him fly up the board.

what about what he did vs the SEC? without Sammy playing on the other side as well.

Didn't see the LSU game because I had stuff to do that night, but they literally cannot cover anybody. If their front 4 doesn't get the quarterback to the ground or make him unable to complete passes(which they do more often than not), you can have a field day throwing on them.

Against the only decent secondary from the SEC he played this year, South Carolina, he had 1 catch for 43 yards. That's WITH Sammy playing on the other side. The year before that, he had 24 yards against them.

Don't think Sammy played against Aubbie, but they were so horrible this year that they were all-time bad. Their defense was absolutely pathetic. Shouldn't even be called an SEC team tbh.

All said, once again, wouldn't take him in the first. He's no AJ Green/Megatron/etc.

    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
    • Looks like Darnold should have had at least 3 picks. That'll get ugly in the playoffs eventually. Can't deny his physical talent though. You either have that or you don't. Mike Macdonald is a legit coach.
