This defense has a chance to be special with a safety.

If we get a safety just imagine how complete our defense would be as a unit? I know we don't have studs at DT but we are still one of the best teams in the league with just 4 man pressure thanks to Hardy, Alexander, and Johnson. I mean just imagine how scary our D is going to be next year if we get a 2TD lead on anyone in the league? Even Aaron Rodgers would have trouble trying to pass on our D with 7 always able to drop back (and Gamble would be back hopefully we would have a second safety that can play so we cannot give up Hail Mary catches to people like RODDY WHITE) to cover 5 sometimes 4 because of needing max protection. I don't know about you but I can live til next year without having to go through the growing pains of watching a rookie O-lineman/D-lineman.

An expensive O-line really wouldn't be that cost-effective for a player like Cam anyways. Even if we have the best o-line in football he would still be running away from them on some plays negating their price tag. I think all we need is a Safety in the first, WR in Free Agency, Nose Tackle in the 2nd round. AND THE BEST fuging KICKER WHO EVER THE fug IT IS, I DONT CARE WHAT ROUND. Two (2) rookie kickers dominating the league this year and we have "No Gano."

Oh consider this me being in Camp Safety for who I want in the draft. I unlike most people don't really think missing a stud DT hurt us this year in wins as much as missing a safety and having to play 10 v 11 all year hurt us.

We've got really good DE's but what really give them that edge is when we've gome some push in the middle. One on one Johnson and Hardy are elite. Dwan Edwards is good but is 31. The other Edwards has hit that too old/injured all the time status. This is a pretty good draft for DT.

I want DT,S,WR or OT in the draft.

Right on the mark. Just switch OT to OG.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
