Superbowl HCs (first 2 yrs)

Peyton Manning lit that D up and you know it.

Peyton Manning had 247 yards 1 TD and 1 Int. Hardly lighting it up at all.

The Chicago Bears turned the ball over 5 times in the game. One of which was a pick 6 by Grossman in the 4th quarter when the Bears had a chance to take the lead.

You have no idea what you are talking about. This much is clear.

He lit up that D like he lit up our D this season, just face it. Only staff member I got respect for is the DC.

Well, you would have to give me a time period and a more specific group of HCs....but I don't need to look up the stats to tell you most regardless of what criteria looked at don't win rings. Too many teams and only 1 prize.

I'll save you time. A large majority of coaches who started out with back to back losing seasons didn't go on to to post winning records, much less a Super Bowl. They just ended up being failures.

John Elway was a bad QB when he entered the league, just like Jimmy Clausen. Therefore, Jimmy Clausen is a future hall of famer.

See, I can use logical fallacies too.

true, you can play that game all day long when talking NFL...

Doesn't mean the reality of actually giving people reasonable time should no longer be a reasonable thing...

And we didn't dump Jimmy despite my wishes. There is still a reason we didn't. Too many great things wouldn't happen for teams if they close the doors to quick.

You say that, but you are looking at many and comparing the decisions they made once they developed into HCs vs. a green Ron.

You think Belichick, Shanahan, Vermiel, etc were viewed as great HCs 2 years in? or bumbling fools that wouldn't pan out?

I can tell you there's nothing special about Rivera that I have seen. Most coaches take a step forward in their 2nd year if they're really a good coach. Rivera took 10 steps back this season.

He's not going to win games or Championship(s) here. Carolina will be the last team he will ever coach again once hes done here.

I'm not sure we'll win a lot of game next season. Again it's a hard schedule and our division will only get better. Rivera makes this team mentally weak. He's a bad decision maker and suck at managing game. He can't show that he can go blow a game out or can adjust and come back in a large lead.

Plenty of coaches get canned after 2 years. How many of these guys were on their way to the superbowl?

Sparano 25-34

Mike Mularky 14-18

Mike Singletary 13-12

Lane Kiffin 5-15

Tom Cable 9-19

Bill Callahan 15-17

MArty Morningweg 5-27

Nick Saban * 15-17

Spurrier 12-20

Well, you never know with that list.....at the time guys like Belichick, Shanhan, Vermeil, etc would be on that very kind of list you just created and they have rings or multiple rings.

If he took 10 steps back....he simply wouldn't have more wins and finish better in his division as a result (losing his Pro Bowl C, best corner)-

Cam Newton can win championships. His relationship there is most important. Not all rings are won bc of great coaching....but more so handling of special players. RR has at least one of those that can take over a season as he matures.
