I remember Steve Young gushing about how we were unbeatable if we could run like that all the time. What an awesome game. Stiff-arms and jukes galore!

We ran it down their damn throats that game. I was so excited that they even moved it from Sunday to Monday night. Epic rushing attack. Vintage smash and dash.

i even hung around until the very last second of the game. i was one of maybe four people in my section still sitting around in the rain.

the weirdest part was the two cardinals fans who had actually flown in from arizona sitting in front of me leaving early when the game became a massacre. i mean what the hell-something like that is a once in a lifetime thing and i'd be out there bathing in it.

They couldn't quite digest what just happened....lol. They were probably like, "let's get a drink and make sense of this"

Wierdest part for me was this stevie wonder song (leaving for the city) playing in my car on my drive to my friend's place to watch the game....and towards the end of the game, I heard the same exact song being played at BofA Stadium in the TV...wierd poo man

I was at that game. First drive was run, run, run, pass, run and run some more. Touchdown. They come down and score on us and all of sudden it was Pass, pass, pass. No running. Seemed like Fox abandoned the ground game in the first quarter. Sucked.

I actually looked at the play sheet. We still ran quite a few times. They were just followed by ints everytime jake dropped back to pass

yeah that's the game that the panthers front office/director of marketing decided it'd be a great idea to make up a bunch of white towels so panthers fans could wave surrender flags emblazoned with the panthers logo and show their fighting spirit

I have my Growl Towel still. With a buy one get one Planters peanut coupon. Also a Maxwell house coffee coupon. If you show your VIC card of course. Expires 1/27/09 valued at 1/100 of a cent. I spent $200 on a Club level seat because it was my first home playoff game and I wanted to live large. We were expecting snow to slow down Kurt Warner led offense but all we got was a few tears from the upper deck.

I was one of those idiots that truly believed we would come back in the second half. The Panthers had never been one and done in the playoffs, EVER. By the end of the game it was a funeral and I was the only person left in my pew. That was the first of what would become many times I felt embarassed to be a Panther fan.

    • As I've said numerous times the last few days, having Thielen on the field has literally 0% to do with my views on this (I've even said I think Renfrow is going to take a ton of snaps from Thielen anyways).  He has more value to this team without playing a single snap than a 2026 5th round draft pick does for the franchise.   His value is helping set up T-Mac, XL, Coker, and Horn for long term success by helping them learn how to be pros, how to go about their business, how to train, how to do all the little things that helped turn Thielen from a D2 undrafted player into a borderline Vikings legend.
    • He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season.  I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would.  I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both.
    • Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from.    The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money.    Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings.
