Did Belichick skip out on his media press conference?

Shannon Sharpe absolutely ripped him before the postgame show ended because he didn't do the postgame interview with Steve Tasker. The Patriots offered up Devin McCourty as the sacrificial lamb for that one.

For all the talk they get about being a classy organization, they sure showed their colors following that game.

He's still a top 3 coach in the NFL. Patriots don't play defense these days. They won't win another Super Bowl unless they start investing more in their defense.

Is there anything in his contract that says he has to do interviews with CBS after the game? The article is lacking, like every other article on PFT.

Regardless, man up and take your defeat with class. Not doing the interview reflects very poorly on you and your organization. Makes them look like sore losers.

Yes, actually, they are required to give post game interviews. I dunno if he fulfilled that requirement somewhere else, but they are required to give post game interviews. Coaches get fined if they don't.

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
