What I would do... Cut Gamble, Restructure Gross/Beason/ and try to re-work DWill's deal. Realease Nakamura and maybe R. Edwards. Sign Canty and fill depth needs.

Not meant to disparage Kalil but the way I read this he is getting the the same money, just getting more now and allowing us to spread it out by converting to signing Bonus, not necessarily some great noble gesture

Duh. This is how almost all restructures end up working. However, fans like to say it is some great gesture for their love of the teamm. Any Panther player would have taken this restructure. Unfortunately, it is not easy to do this with most contracts which is why not everyone can.

and said they are both right. Point is that the panthers are about 10 million over the cap after the restructure. Think they were both looking at the amount over and did the math themselves on how much it saved.

Here was his exact response:
