Best places to park in downtown Charlotte - TW Arena

Going to be attending a couple of events at Time Warner Arena and would like some info on the best places to park. Thanks.

Depends on the events and times. Most of the Parking garages nearby have special event pricing for events ($5 for checkers games, $10 for bobcats, but $20 when the lakers were in town, etc)

If you don't mind walking, the garage on 9th St between Tryon and Church St has arms that are raised at 7pm. Free entry and exit.

If you park and eat at Queen City Q they will validate

Definitely don't park at any of the parking garages on 5th street. You will sit and wait until every person at the concert has left and crossed the streets.

Yes, Queen City Q is at 7th Street Station. The Arena is one block away

Park at Scalleybark and take the train into town. There is a stop right at the top of TWCA.

As do most places on/around the Green. Rock Bottom. Does Carolina Ale House?

You have to be careful about who validates. Rooster's and City Smoke BBQ for example only give a discounted rate with their validations.

Thanks for the suggestions. We ended up parking at 7th street station and having dinner at Queen City Q. Then we walked over to the Arena. Very convenient and saved us the $20 bucks for parking.

I'm not sure if we got lucky but we were able to get out of the deck and on the road in less than 10 minutes after the concert.

We'll be doing the same thing again in a couple weeks.
