I think Gettleman is still working on clearing space.

I'm happy with the Josh's, but I really want to re-sign Captain and draft a guy OR get a decent CB in FA.

I'd really hope we bring Cap back. He was a big part in allowing Kuechly to shut down the middle of the field.

Curious though, does anyone know what is going on with James Dockery? I keep hearing about the Joshs but I thought Dockery at least deserves a shot to compete for a spot.

I don't remember much about Dockery, I'll try to go watch all the snaps he plays on Game Rewind.

I do know that Norman has some serious coverage skills if he'll just trust himself enough to press. Thomas played really well too.

Norman needs help over the top to keep from getting beat deep, but what he went through is not uncommon for rookies, as you probably know.

Norman started because Hurney sucked, not because he was ready. However, he now has the experience and, hopefully, the proper mindset to succeed.

Dockery was good at times in college, but was not consistent. He is solid depth.

You're assuming he falls to the 2nd, which I don't think he will. I think he'll be the 2nd CB taken and it'll be in the mid 1st round.

I'd kill to land Milliner.

Yeah, admittedly, I haven't checked on his draft stock since the combine and that was when he was projected to go in the 2nd round. But, with his size and the way he numbers shook out at the combine, I can imagine he won't last 'til then.

    • There was some pretty egregious missed calls vs the Chiefs in the Lions game, especially Kelce. The completion where he clearly used the ground to catch the ball. The hold in front of the ref as Pacheco ran by where the defender was trying to turn around and couldnt because Kelce had him by the jersey. Mahomes openly taunting after scoring a TD. 0 penalties after double digit the week before. Cmon.
    • People get trade happy and look at resources as barter items. They fail to see them as resources to be used to our benefit rather than someone else's. Right now, Chuba and Rico are massive benefits to us and a strong rushing attack so greatly benefits any passer, much less a young one like Bryce still is.  And the better our running game, the more our offense can eat up the clock, the less time our defense is on the field. And that is priceless, too. Don't mess with the running game. Don't mess with the receivers. Maybe look at our O-line and think we may have hit on something good during these injuries. Look at our D-line and seem some strength evolving there. Our secondary has its good spots and some that are still developing. Our linebacking corps did well this last outing. Our special teams are on a major upswing as of this past week. Heck, even our QB is showing us a little something right now that we can build on. Perhaps putting out a yard sale sign right now might be less advantageous than looking at the team and saying, "You are all part of something good that is happening. We want to see that continue to grow."
