Captains offer

This is the same deal Adrian Wilson received from the Pats!

he's probably looking at the deal that kyle arrington got when he re-signed with the pats. arrington got moved to nickel last year and signed a 4 year/$16mil deal with $8.5mil guaranteed and $7.5mil in the first year. comparable players (arguably) so it's natural to think he feels he deserves a comparable deal.

he just ain't gonna get something like that here or even anywhere, tbh. the market has collapsed. his agent has to understand this and make him aware of it as well. he's just not going to get much better than he was offered here. that's the reality of the situation.

Guys I just spoke with capts good good friends....told me they couldn directly speak on if he was going to return or not....but said the 5mil 3 year deal combined with signing 2 more DBs at his position is a slap in the face....so take it for what its worth....He desires a better deal...

He can feel disrespected all he wants now because we are moving on. Fact is pride screwed him over and he will be lucky to sign a 1 year deal now.

According to Rotoworld, Chicago has offered Captain a 1 year contract but the Panthers might match it. That would be interesting.

Nearly starter money I think he was offered. Probably something like 1 year 2.5 - 3 million dollars.

Would have to be for him to turn down the 3 year deal earlier when he wants to stay in Carolina.

Free agent nickelback Captain Munnerlyn has been offered a 1-year deal from Chicago, according to a league source. Munnerlyn has said his preference is to re-sign with the Panthers, who could try to match the Bears' offer.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
