Ted Ginn joins the Panthers on a one-year deal

It'd probably take a cap miracle, but I'd love to see the Panthers somehow manage to sign Kevin Boothe now.

Not just because it would be a good move - which it would - but to watch the full blown fangasm that would erupt in this place

I said earlier if we could get Booth and Alan Branch I would be hyped beyond belief.

First off Dork, I never said Cam acts or talks like a thug, in fact, he is the furthest from being a thug. What I said was, he needs to learn how to conduct himself like a grown man during interviews and act the leader of the team instead of a kid. That is why Denver ripped him apart and mocked him til I saw a tear drop in his eyes. As a NFL quarterback he is held to a higher standard.

As for that Kuechly thing, just wait and see if we don't upgrade the linebacker position and see him get torched on the 3rd and longs when the defense needs to get off the field. You will see how many games we let slip threw our fingers again before I pull up this thread and say that I was right. At that point I don't want to have to thump you from my pubs saying I told you so, but I will.

thunderkatt is a known idiot. he was one of the "cam needs to learn how to not talk like a thug" dipshits from last season.

But by the 6 game of the season it was oblivious that Everybody knew the offense and were better players then legatron. But it took Rivera until game 11 or 13 to make the switch. So again Rivera use of the depth chart is a question mark sometimes.

Again, new scheme, no offseason....Legatron was strictly on the field to make sure the guys knew what they where doing. 6 games in with hardly an offseason to install a new scheme isn't long....especially since the packages and gameplans change week to week

Well, he is most definetly a body catcher.

Definitely. He even had the ball smacked out of his hands after a big catch and run. Best we can hope for is some bombs down the sideline. Wouldn't send him over the middle, that's for sure.

Yea. I'm a huge Patterson fan and i was adamant about the possiblity of taking him at 14, but this kind of stuff is what worries me. Sure I think he could transition well catching with his hands, as I've read he is very coachable. But at the same time look at Ginn. Same kind of player.

And you know the huddle is going to go ballistic when Ginn drops that much needed pass. That's why I'm refraining from all of the "he can get better with better QB player" talk.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
