Screw you Allergies!

I'm allergic to sycamore, oak and maple pollen, it's really going at it right now. Pine pollen is just an irritant to me, not allergic but it still irritates me. I have normal allergy symptoms and hives. The hives are the worst part.

I'm taking a prescribed medication called Xyzal and I take benedryl and an eye drops for the hives. Xyzal doesn't make me drowsy but the benedryl has me walking around like a zombie. What do you do for your allergies?

That sounds awful! I don't have them but I hate them. My son has eye allergies this time of year, he's constantly rubbing them. Eye drops are the only thing that gives him relief but he can't put them in at school. I can't stand his eyes bothering him like that, so I think I'm going to drop by his school and put the eye drops in.

I would do the same if it were my child. It must be hard on him having to be at school with his eyes like that. I usually wash my eyes out with contact lens saline several times a day and do the drops too. It makes them feel better. And I do the nasal irrigation too. I hate taking drugs but the alternative is worse. Its only for a couple weeks out of the year but damn is it bad. I don't have time for this, I have crap to do.

We take our oldest twice a week for shots. My 3 yer old appears to be heading down the same path. I developed allergies to the early blooming stuff (Bradford pear) a few years back. Never had the growing up. Allergies suck ass.

I am the same way. Pollen gives me insane hives all over my body. It is the worst thing ever. I also get really bad allergy eye were my eyes get really red and runny/sticky. This year I staredt taking one Airborne tablet with water once a day and haven't had any allergies. Not even sniffles. And my allergies are usually really really bad.

Airborne? Interesting. I take it before I fly. Ill have to try it to see if it does anything for my allergies.

I have a deviated septum so Im pretty much guaranteed a sinus infection every year. I love NC but I hate the allergies.

One thing I have learned in recent years though is that whiskey can cure a sinus sore throat. Gargle it, take shots, let it sit in the back of your throat a couple times. It will go away in a day.

I took allegra d for a long time but not the last few yrs because I would be dying over allergies.

Not taken any the last 2 yrs but I have tried to eliminate cheese and dairy products and ya know, I have been better. I use to feel like I had the flu.

The other thing I changed that I think helped with allergies was taking a probiotic.

It seems counter intuitive but it might help ya'll.

Hang in there.
