Draft chat with Joe Person...

sounds like person's sources are the draftniks that keep on mocking richardson to us.

wouldn't surprise me. most of the time his sources are tweets he read.

I think you may be right.

First he says the Panthers don't love Richardson, then says they'll take him?

Talks about Gettleman wanting to trade. Granted it's possible but did he already forget the stuff said at the press conference he attended and asked questions in?

Is asked about needs and doesn't list receiver, ignoring the fact that receiver is the position they used for most of their prospect visits

All this after Person parroted Yasinskas assertion that Brandon Beane would get interviewed for the GM position.

Zod may be right. It almost sounds like he doesn't care much about his job.

Person is annoyed that he covers the Panthers.

This is my biggest gripe about Person. He just doesnt seem to be a football fan either.

Whenever I hear him interviewed or see his demeanor he sounds like as he is exhaling depression as he answers the question at the same time. It is such a chore for him to put content out that is basically a twitter link.

Now says if Austin is there they will be tempted but probably won't pick him. Either a lot of misinformation out there or Person has no clue.

Think its a little of both.

He is misinforming himself apparently. I think he just realized who Austin was when asked again as he just got to a gas station to buy a draft guide.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
