14. Xavier Rhodes

Assuming Jets grab Kenny Vaccaro with the 13th pick and Austin and Star are off the board...I believe we go corner back to replace Gamble with another no1 type corner.

44. Kawann Short

Some say his motor lacks at times, but I believe with great leadership surrounding him he can play inspired football. Has a quick burst for a big man with GREAT hands used to shed blocker something Fua struggles dearly with.

Round 4

Da'Rick Rogers

darick-rogers-at-orange-and-white-game-4-17.962-650.jpg

We need WR's that can score after the catch, WR's that can make circus catches and grab a few of CAMS crazy high cheese fastballs....This is the guy and yes we take chances now....even cam was arrested...and honestly no one is actually super clean these days and Gettlemen needs scorers besides smitty and cam.

Round 5

Chris Faulk, OT LSU we need quality tackles on the our depth chart and even though he was hurt last year he should be fully recovered and ready to go

Round 6

371x.jpg

Devonte Holloman LB

A gamecock and nice to have Linebacker Depth behind injury prone starters

My question with Rhodes is whether he fits our scheme but I'll live with it as this draft really sucks.

Rather take one of the NT instead of Short but meh, I could also live with this.

Da'Rick in the 4th?? I would jizz pure joy but I give that a 0.0000000001% chance he falls that far.

Rather take a K over a LB.

I don't think Rogers is going to be there in the fourth, and I like Xavier Nixon better than Faulk for a developmental OT but that's really splitting hairs. I would rather move down then take someone at 14, just not in love with anybody who is likely to be on the board there....

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
