Gettlemen continues to get criticism for not bringing in a WR

yep....CRA thinks we are going to run Cam or throw the ball 90% of the time this upcoming season.

Will be epic watching his head explode when we actually become a well balanced offense.

nah, I just think if you draft a game changer like Cam.....you build around him offensively.  That means draft young kids to evolve w/ him.   We aren't which again....can be factually proven as oddly unique w/ a QB entering year 3.

We were well balanced in 2011.   We still have too many runners....too many where that stacked talent doesn't really mean that much.  It is still RBs watching....watching our vertical pass O with no vertical WR

With our pooty G play and lack of WRs despite running a vertical pass attack....my head would explode if this offense was consistant.

i really cannot see how anybody can be content with the WRs on this team. to many occasions last year Cam went thru reads and no WR was open. we are putting a lot of faith in a guy who has been meh when not injuried, and the Tyler Brayton of WRs.

since we talking about the future, do yall realize next year 5 WRs on the current roster will be a FA? and the #1 WR will be going on 35, is losing speed, and at times would rather fight DBs then run routes and catch the ball? nobody thinks the depth is fine, but some fans, we will see in sept.

I don't know what everyone sees in Lafell to keep thinking he's going to be the answer year after year. I guess I'm just not watching the same games everyone else are.

Lafell catches more of the balls that are thrown to him and has more YPC.

WE WERE +$16 million in cap room in January.  We upgraded S, CB, DT, RB, LB, WR, KR/PR, and other special teams positions by doing some bargain-basement shopping and selecting quality with our 5 draft picks.  We are now $9 million under the cap.  What more could anyone ask?

Do you think we can win the SB this year with this group of guys?

You're fine with Mike Mitchell/Campbell at SS and a group of mediocre receivers?

Every year, if you dont win the SB you're a bust.

I don't think anybody is content with the WRs we have, it's just the reality of the situation. Do you honestly think Gettleman isn't aware that 5 WR's on the current roster will be FA's and our number 1 is gonna be 35?

The man does not get open !

Are you satisfy with a starting no.2 receiver who goes out and catches 2-3 balls a game only? Im not.

What does that say? We are not moving the chain.

He was open plenty, just didn't get it thrown to him or by the time he was open Cam was running for his life from the weak OL play.

Brandon Lloyd would do no better.

i know he is aware, but how did he improve the positon beyond this year?now you putting yourself where you have to take a WR high next year or throw some bread at a one of the top WR FA. similar to not addressing DT before this year.

nah, this is a business...and one where guys have a tiny window to succeed finacially.

Williams resturtured b/c it was in his best interest to do so.  That is the way it works.

Next year, they will have leverage to talk to Beason.  This year, Beason is in control.

Remember the jumping to conclusions remark I make to you often. . yeah this is one of them.

To you: NFL is paying big money => the NFL is a business => No emotion is involved in any transaction.

What youre missing is that there are other motives and reasons to paying a player, like I said before. . . and of the two of us, my prediction is the one that came to be true, not yours. So spare me the statements in absolutes.

I like how you never came back to our poll thread. Continually trashing the guy doesn't make your claims true.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
