Who do you think will be the Bobcats/Hornets pick in tomorrow's draft.  Not who you think it should be, but who you think it WILL be.

I am going Alex Len.

#1  Noel

#2  McLemore

#3 Porter

#4 Alex Len

If you post it and are right you get free pie.  Trade scenarios are welcome!

One of the cool things about this draft is that I have no fugging clue how the draft is going to go.  Usually the top 2/3 picks are are pretty much known it is just a matter of which order.

This year, I have no fugging clue.  The top 5 could go in any order and I wouldn't be shocked

Hard to separate what they should do and what I think they WILL do, b/c I'm assuming they should be smart like me, lol...

That being said, I think it will be between Oladipo and Zeller or we trade back. I think their preference would be Zeller. Mine is Oladipo.

I was thinking about it, and if we are in talks with the Wolves (who want Oladipo), that pretty much means we aren't interested in him.

He also never came in for a workout.

To be honest, I think the pick is down to Len, Bennett, or Zeller.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
