Biking on trails and greenways

Cat

Recommended Posts

I just bought a bike yesterday and we took it out on the Mallard Creek green way which was pretty long and a lot of fun. Too long for our almost seven year old. Any tips or trail recommendations? We hope to bike on our own (adults) and some with our kid.

I've never been to any other greenways. Are the others mostly paved and shaded like Mallard Creek is?

Speaking of which, we got 4-7 inches of rain on Friday night. Went walking on the greenway on Saturday and the watermarks from flooding were literally shoulder high. Lots of dead fish laying around.

Crazy!

There were downed trees on the Mallard Creek Greenway and lots of mud. Made for a lot of dirty fun.

I ride the Mallard Creek Greenway quite a bit with my daughter. It is rather long but it's a nice ride and lots of shade. Whenever there is a heavy rain that place floods bad. That creek overflows and the greenway fills up with about 10 ft of water over near were Cookout is. The water literally reaches up to the bridge where 29 crosses it.  .

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
