Kids movie suggestions for family movie night

We are doing the family movie night.  Pizza, popcorn, kids movie, and then some DirecTV pron for the wife and I after we put the kids to bed (bow chica bow bow).  I'm out of ideas for the kids movie. We've done the Disney Pixar stuff to death and I'm pretty tired of the animated stuff.  I'm thinking old school like an E.T. or Never Ending Story or The Sandlot.  Any suggestions?  The boys are 3 and 8 so it's hard to find something both will be into.

Avengers might be a little too intense for the 3 year old.  I have the Star Wars box set so we've seen them a hundred times.

The National Lampoon Vacation series aren't too bad... the original Vacation with Chevy Chase and Christie Brinkley wouldn't be bad for kids, I don't think.

 

Course, I don't have kids, so my take on what's suitable is questionable at best.

One of, if not the, best movies in the past decade imo. Not all that intense and not gory either...

Avengers is excellent, the worst word said is hell.  The fighting is PG and the only real blood is one stabbing that is done tastefully.

 

Goonies is loaded with curse words, I forgot that since I mostly saw it on cable over the years.  The most intense parts are skeletons and a couple dead bodies, which don't scare my kids.
