Vegas Odds

Recommended Posts

Heading to Vegas was looking up the odds for the Panthers.

Right now they are 40 to 1 for winning the Superbowl.

20 to 1 to win the NFC Championship.

Really like those odds think I will put some money on both.

Also WVU is 1000 to 1 favorites to win the BCS.  Think I will have to take some of that action too.  Would be a big payout if they did.

Glad you made this squirrel, I had been wanting to discuss how it works a month or so back... I looked up the odds then and it was 60 to 1 as Panthro mentioned. Sucks it went up to 40 to 1.

Anyway, I didn't post the thread because I don't like admitting how little I know about betting, lol. So how does it work? If I have heard correctly, didn't they make it illegal to bet sports online? So, what are my options to place a bet? Does it have to be in Vegas? One of my best friends lives out there and I thought about sending him the money and letting him place it for me.

Also, say you bet $200, if we don't win the Superbowl, do you only lose $200?

Yes, sport books online are illegal. You would have to go to a place that allows gambling.

And if you lose, you lose your original bet. Basically, you give them $200. If you lose, they keep your $200. If you win at 40:1 odds, you get 40 X$200 or $8000.

    • I turned to the NFL Network and they are playing the Wildcard Game against the Rams I think we gained a lot of respect around the league we hung in there for a while into the 4th Quarter 🙂
    • Does anyone know for sure if the game tonite will be on HBO max?  That is where I watched the last one and only access I currently have- I am in SE NC and no broadcast stations carry the games.😖
    • take a  look around the league at other young Qb's such as Drake Maye , Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix , CJ Stroud  & Caleb Williams who at the time like Bryce Young they also were drafted by teams with a losing record .the only difference with these Qb's is after joining their teams with a losing record they led those same teams to a winning record in a very short period of time .it's simply what you call a game changer & or elite Qb's & then take a  look at  the other side of the coin you have Qb's such as Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Justin Fields  & Anthony Richardson also like Bryce Young all first round picks who instead of winning either did not play or led their teams to a losing record while playing  Bryce Young who has an overall record of 14-30 & wildly inconsistent & never in the history of the NFL has a Qb 5'10" or shorter had a successful carrer as Qb in the NFL  if anything history is telling you exactly what ?..just saying
