Woops, I almost forgot to make a real post. AJ Klein has looked good in camp. I would feel confident if he had to start for us. He's great in the run game but not so great in coverage. Think Luke Kuechly but not as athletic.

Because he's white? Just a FWIW, Greg Cosell compared Connor and Klein in this podcast and says Klein is a much better NFL prospect coming out of college. Says he's fast, instinctive, and has a good chance of being an solid start someday.

I wouldn't believe that. Connor was a great college player and we were really lucky to get him in the 3rd rd. Too bad he never lived up to his potential.

In hindsight, of course Cossell could say Klein is a better prospect coming out than Connor.

He played all over the place at Iowa state--seems to be really instinctive.  His speed is fair to good, but his coverage skills were questionable.  However, he will be a stud special teamer and depth--
