There's a great player available at the #1 pick every year. And that player may even be (potentially) better than who you have on roster at his position.

Even knowing that, you can't mortgage what you have to chase the #1 pick.

Look as far as I am concerned the draft is months away and we have no idea what pick we will have. Plus our main concern in the draft for the next 1-4 years needs to be a future #1 WR PERIOD

I'm not ready to bless the team as a Super Bowl contender just yet, but what is gratifying is that we aren't far off being an annual challenger for the title! When I say this, it's in terms of having a core that is shaping up to build off.

I still say that next draft, we do what it takes to grab Clowney and trade away CJ! Saves a lot of money at the position short term and makes us better. However, infuse a stud LT, another solid CB, and a true #1 WR and we are just as good as any other team in the NFL on paper
