@Panthers: FB Michael Zordich will be placed on IR after suffering an ACL injury in Friday's game against Chicago.

@Panthers: CB James Dockery injured his thumb vs. the Bears and will undergo surgery. Ron Rivera says he should return in a few weeks.

He was also great in special teams at PSU. There is a highlight of him on YouTube obliterating someone on a kickoff at PSU.

Ironically, he was injured on kickoff coverage on Friday.

Good for Zordich (I suppose), but I am concerned about Dockery.  I guess that he has enough work in the bank to keep him off the bubble.

For anyone unfamiliar with White Mike, check out this highlight video (specifically the first play, where he absolutely destroys the poor kickoff returner).

 

I expect Mike to come back healthy next year and backup Mr. Tolbert.

Glad they're at least keeping Zordich around.

 

So far, we haven't been hit as hard by the injury bug as other teams.  Here's to hoping that continues (for once).

If you are on the PUP list you can't participate in training camp.

The guys that aren't practicing can return at any time.

My understanding is that this gives the coaches the ability to place him on PUP during the season if they choose, so long as he doesn't come off PUP before the season starts. He is not allowed to practice while on preseason PUP. I fear he may not be ready for the opener but hopefully its just a precaution, just in case.

What's with all the "good for him" talk? Season ending injuries are devastating to a UFA.

Sad to see a Panther go down, I wish him a speedy recovery.
