Official Panthers at Eagles Gameday Thread

It has been very anticlimactic ill tell you.

Team doesn't sound concerned but I can't imagine it'll be the same atmosphere behind closed doors. Hoping people get serious since preseason is halfway over. After next weeks game it's time to start scouting the Seahawks.

Seriousness? Rivera has no sense of urgency at all and it rubs off on our players

First throw for Cam shoulda have been a deep ball to Gettis or Ginn, period. That aggression doesn't exist though

D.will got like 13 straight carries, we couldn't even see what the other RB could do in the 1st half? Im completely done seeing us getting eliminated from contention then all of a sudden these unknown players pop out cause at that point it doesn't matter

Leaving the game right now. fug it was a bad decision to go but at least the weather was nice and the cheerleaders were hot. Good seats too. Really disappointed in the team though.

I think our starters would have taken em' in a 4 quarter game. But anderson just seem lax out there lately. & jimmy well....., has our offense ever looked good with him at the healm?

Got to admit I missed the first qtr, but the offensive line looked pretty bad for most of the night.

I know u being sarcastic but its still a stupid comment....lock him up he would take pressure off of lafell without a doubt

Wow man I posted that over an hour ago so now your reading it out of context but anyway I will help to enlighten you. DA under threw Gettis and Gettis batted the ball down ( meaning he played good defense) and stopped the corner from intercepting the ball. So.....idk what your talking about

    • If his seat was hot enough for him to be fired 6 games in then you should've just fired him when you made the decision to draft a QB #1 overall. I don't think you go from "this is definitely our guy" to "you're fired in 6 games". Seems like there would be had to have been doubts going in and that's not a recipe for success for a rookie QB.
    • I like to use the analogy that a high draft pick QB is like a new supercar. Great to have one except too often, one forgets that they are high maintenance. A bad team secures their car under a cheap tent, puts regular gas in the tank, services it at Pep Boys, and then blames the car for not working properly and proceeds to get another one.  At the least, Ward getting sacked 25 times already is a massive red flag. If you can't protect your rookie QB, you do not put him out there. Otherwise, it's taking your supercar and immediately spinning it right into a tree. A few survive that rough of a start. Most do not.
    • I don't think there's any one size fits all answer. I think you play the rookie when A) you think he's ready and B) you think there's a reasonable expectation that the overall situation provides him an opportunity to be successful, not necessarily in terms of wins and losses but just in terms of giving him a fighting chance with surrounding talent. If you rush either one it's probably not gonna be pretty.
