Since the Eagles have a topic suggesting Foles and Barkley are going to light our "piss poor" defense I thought it would be interesting to figure out our expectations and if they are as outrageous. Also considering they are running the no huddle, starting Foles I expect us to do well.

Kuechly will know the play Foles is about to relay during the hurry up before Foles will. Without further adu.

Total offense: 350 yards

Passing: 200 yards

Passing TDs: 4( seemed to be the concensus)

Rushing yards: 110 yards

Rushing TDs: 2

Points: 21

I know the number don't add up all together and I don't care but I was basing these off of the posts I read on their board.

Total yards: over

Passing : over

Passing TDs: way under

Rushing yards: under

Rushing TDs: E

Total points: under

Bend but don't break.

They were able to acknowledge their own shortcomings in that department but they thing Chip Kelly, in his second preseason game, is some kind of football god, will be able to use Foles to outsmart Kuechly and Rivera.

Come on man! I think their offense will be good but considering our full team that will see the field, I think we are more talented in almost every area.

I'm not the person who will say well my offense is better than yours, because the offenses don't go at eachother. That, in my opinion, is the stupidest argument to make.

i'll say this i lived in philly and being around eagles fans. they LOATHE mike vick. I mean really hate that guy. They are desperately hoping Foles is there answer.

 

they are the most depressing fanbase i have ever been around and that is saying something posting here.

Because, they make you realize how rational the huddle really is. They are seriously beyond LSD delusional over there. I personally find it entertaining.

I was hoping to find out our projections versus theirs so I can post it over there.

Kuechly was countering Brees', Ryan's and Peyton's audibles at the LOS last year.

They didn't directly say that he will outsmart Kuechly. The fact he hasn't even been mentioned leads me to believe they don't remember last years game and fumble fest.

The fact they run a no huddle will make Foles make decisions based on what he sees at the line though, and I personally don't see him out smarting Luke or Davis in calling audibles to counter the D without Luke seeing it.

I feel that by projecting those kind of stats, they are forgetting about Charles "stripsack" Johnson and Kuechly. As well as Cam running all over them.

I understand its preseason but you have to maintain objectivity, which they lack severely .

      Major Concerns with this team…with numbers

      The good news is that we are pretty uniquely well established to address all of our needs this season. We have $14m real cap space, and something like $40m in trade deadline cap space. Not sure exactly how that works out. But, we have the room to absorb any bad contracts. With recent rule changes regarding retention, that went into effect this season, we now have a huge advantage in the trade market.  On top of that, while we do have obvious needs, we also have a glut of talent in certain areas that we struggle to find ice time for. We are over-stocked on scrappy talented lil-guys, strong defensively sound 3rd liners and shutdown left shot dmen. Whether it's a package or separate deals, idk. But, one of each from Stank/Blake/Nads, Erob/Carrier/KK/Jank, and Walker/Nystrom; throw in some 1st round picks (and frankly any other prospects they want) and we should be able to come out with a 1b to pair with Bussi and either a 2c with size or a 2c and size.   TL/DR We got the money, you got the stuff?

      I don’t  think 6’4 was ever considered small or undersized. Baby hands tho, yes that was his thing That’s an interesting idea, like an optical illusion? Sounds like you have personal experience with this!

      in the 25' draft the Carolina Panthers had hired Brandt Tillis someone who actually understood how to build a successful team & build through the draft .  this team was yes mismanaged for years prior to Brandt Tillis joining the team in 25' & rarely done anything right in the draft outside occaionaly getting lucky on an UDFA such as Jalen Coker who's dad coincidentally happened to be a huge Carolina Panthers fan, hint hint  ...just saying
