i THINK this season will determine a lot about our RB's futures.

I hope they continue to lean on each other and rip up the NFL. tHEY Are both selfless guys who understand how important each other is to their own success.

And Yes, Stewart did do some amazing things last season.

I'm happy we have a camaraderie in the RB ranks. I'm even happier that the O-Line gets it done for the RB's. Every season determines a player's future, but the RB's feed off the O-Line and fresh legs keep the RB's productive. Carolina has a great staff for this strategy. Which part is interchangeable? That's a question for a couple years from now.

This could end up being similar to the "LT and Michael Turner" situation. Turner starts off as LT's backup and shows a lot of promise. LT has had a great career but is now an old RB that declined this past season. Turner goes to ATL and has a great first year and should have many more. Now SD's RB situation isn't secure for the future.

Not many talk about this but looking back, the Chargers should of kept Michael Turner. Right now, Turner > LT. If this ends up playing out anything like the SD situation, than ya gotta go with Stewart.

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
