The EJ Manuel pressure on Cam.

Yes. Cam should go back to sulking. That has been so good for him these last couple of seasons.

Being serious and sulking are two different things. Distancing yourself from your teammate by seating by yourself is sulking. Maintaining a straight face while standing next to your teammate is serious. Personally, Cam's body language is the least I care about, if I even do. I don't even notice him on the sideline.

I got one thing from this.....

Goes to show how weak preseason is when EJ can score a TD calling his own plays!

The presence of mind to do that deserves some credit too.

No Noles fans were sad to see EJ graduate.

Terrible decision maker and you can't coach past that.

Pfft.. you haven't been paying attention to the "pre season".  EJ Manuel is like if Peyton Manning had a love child with Flo Jo.

I've been watching preseason football and I took notice of QB EJ Manuel. He is physically built like Cam, had similar performance at the combine, so I'm sure throughout the regular season his name will pop up when speaking about Cam. What I notice about him is that he is very accurate in short and intermediate throws and he is not afraid to go to the check down, which sometimes Cam refuses to do. He keeps the chain moving.

Unlike Cam who looks erratic in his preseason plays, that dude looks comfortable and in full control of the  offense. In fact, during his 1st preseason game on a 2-minute drill his head set malfunctioned and he took command, called the plays  himself and march his team down to a TD. Something we haven't seen from Cam who seem to huddle on every single down the last 2 years and doesn't call his own play.

Here comes the real concern, we have them at week 2. They're loaded with talented WRs(Johnson, Woods, Goodwin) , CJ Spiller is no joke RB, their OL is adequate plus EJ can run. Their defense is also pretty good.

I'm an avid defender of Cam but what bothers me sometimes about him is his refusal to go to the check down and take what the defense give him. And he doesn't spread the football around. It's Smith or nothing for him.

Fair or not, will even more pressure be put on Cam if he doesn't come out with a victory or at least perform well in that game? I'm afraid coming out of this game people might suggest Cam should play more like Manuel. If there is a must win game for us it's probably this one.

Spoiler Alert: 0-16 if we lose to the Ravens in the preseason

OP must not have watched much FSU football the last 2 years..

I, personally, didn't the EJ was a 1st round pick. Not even a 2nd. But the Buffalo bills who had more resources than me saw something in him. I'm speaking strictly on his preseason play. He looks like he is in control on the field and makes the plays that are there.

I know I will get a lot of disagrees, but I dont see Cam ever being elite. He will stay in the Tony Romo/Cutler/Roethlisberger type class. Very good but also very inconsistent. People who think Cam's potential is Brees/Rodgers/Brady are in for a world of disappointment. He will always be a 57%-58% completion rate, 85-90 QB rating type QB.

Smh. Just stop please

Ha, Newton looks on to Smith. People said the same poo about Delhomme. However, is you look back at the 2003 season, Delhomme spread the ball around a lot. After Proehl and Moose left, Delhomme locked on to the most reliable receiver. Get Cam some help and I bet he passes more to people not name Olsen and Smith.

I'm talking about through his progression. On that 3rd & 20, there was a guy wide open in between. Could have resulted in better field position for the kicking team. I'm just saying.

No reason to check that ball down on 3rd and 20 in the preseason.

RBs make people miss all the time. There was just one defender in the vicinity. could have kept the drive going. More reps for the offense.
