The fact that it was Cam's 2nd year and Wilson's first actually works in Wilson's favor. We'll see how he looks now that opponents have had a whole off season to study him.

The argument for Wilson sharing his off season with other QBs is also moot because Cam didn't have an offseason his first year.

I like how they think Lynch is going to kill us. I think we'll take him out of the mix early and force Wilson to beat us with his arm...while running for his life.

I see Norman with another big day courtesy of Monsters, Inc.

If Star can continue to stay in the backfield then Lynch will be no problem.

this

no OTAs, no mini camp, no work with coaches

when the lockout ended, the focus was on installing a new offense (we had a brand new coaching staff with a completely different philosophy) rather than developing a QB. Cam was running with the #2s during the first 2-3 weeks of training camp.

How about he gets there once first.....geez (Living on the West Coast I've seen a ton of Lotulelei....I have no reason to think he won't succeed, but at least wait until halftime of the actual game with some actual regular season game film in place to make such a sweeping statement)....this is as bad as me saying that as long as Rice, Tate and Baldwin keep carving up the Panther's secondary there will be no problem.

Uh, the comparison was, in fact, 2012 to 2012. No moving the goal posts. And Wilson still had much better stats. He did, however, have a better offense around him, too.

Reading comprehension is key to life. Read what I said, no where did I say it was for certain. If you want a statement like that then how about I say Monsters inc is going to eat Wilson alive!

What worries me is we have to play more than two quarters. Watching 4 quarters of football is tough when the season first starts so I can imagine what it's like playing. Hopefully we have the ability to sub players out on defense throughout the first half and still be effective. Lynch is like a battering ram and the same defensive line can only take on so much.

What stats of his were better? Cam has had to carry this team for two years. People see the win loss because this team lives and dies with his play. If he doesn't play at all we are possibly a 4-12 5-11 team.

His value is undermined because of the win loss but the weight has been on his shoulders. With no slant passes till the end of last season, few drags and underneath routes and all deep post ins or digs, it's a miracle he's close to 60%. By the time we played the Hawks last year he had 64% completion percentage and a 9 YPA. West coast completion % running a vertical offense.

7900 yards passing and 1400 yards running his first two years. Also 60 some TDs. Rookie QBs and 2nd year QBs are generally gonna turn the ball over so that I wasn't do worried about. Our defense wasn't good enough to support a young QB. Now we have a ball security conscious QB we with can be one of the top 10 defenses.

Comparing stats for these two QBs will be moot but you can debate all day how you think one would do on the other team. Two different teams, philosophies, schemes and people. I like both if them.

Plus was at ECU to see the Falcons back up (dominique davis)outplay Wilson.

    • It is all confusing and layered. SB is the cash you get very soon within weeks or in simple terms, its what you get to sign the paper work. Players and agents can agree on contract but what to "wait" to sign......teams don't like that cause you can "Carlos Boozer" yourself. In order to get that ink dry, while keeping the contract the same, portion it as a bonus to "sign" and get the funds with ________ .   * But Ive seen worded contracts that split the SB or a 20% to a later date. The beans counters can fill in the details about why certain dates are better and save the team money.. Theres tricks to the trade and accounting is full of them.    Ugh another big layer, is SB can be used to manipulate cap and players. Ill try to give a example that makes enough sense. Believe it or not having a owner like Tepper is a cheat code for this. He has cash in hand, where as Mark Davis had problem making pay roll and had to move the team to Vegas....... Tepper can give you 100,000,000 SB right now and the team can spread out the cap hit. Another owner doesn't have or want to give the player 100,000,000 in cash, but offered the same guaranteed contract in roster bonuses fully guaranteed over the next few years........ Which one do you want??? Everyone wants the money now, not before another inflation waves hits in 2 years. So it does 'pay" to have a owner like tepper that's able to have real cash on hand, while it also works GREAT for cap help. Heres a good video, if you can stand coked up pat and mask look-a-like AJ
    • I don't know. CMC is like others and may have lip serviced that line of " I had no plan or wanted to leave Carolina" I think he even said he bought a house too and wanted this to be home.   Here's what I heard- In a way Panthers org gave him a test and he didn't "fight" back. They approached CMC and told him they wanted to put him on IR since the "season" was over or out of playoff reach. CMC didn't fight it one lick and agreed. They secretly wanted him to kept playing or want to, but there was no kickback. I honestly don't know if its real or not, 5th hand information type deal doing on. Yes he had bruises and pains, but was able to play...... but went along with Panthers staff. Odd to be playing games with star players, but whatever....   Plus the staff doctors found out about his tendinitis and there was nothing to fix it. Even with him missing time, it was the best move to trade him before he got inflamed constantly.    Lastly, its mostly time a combo of stuff, Fitterererere did not sign him to be the highest paid RB. That was classic Marty "give me a" herniay doing. GMs have different values on roster spots and rumor was Fitterererer was one that didn't want to pay RBs. For all his faults, he's right about that......
