I just went back and re-watched the game from last season. While there were changes made to both rosters, thus limiting what was to be gained, I feel better about Sunday.

Here's why:

1. Addition by subtraction- Lynch had several nice runs right up the gut. Why were they successful? Fua. I saw three gashing runs thru the A gap with OL leading way because a single OL just moved Fua out of the way.

2. Luke played a good game overall, but you could see he was adjusting to the move inside. Despite a sack, then a Int on a tip drill he gave up one of the longest pass plays of the game when he was late covering the TE on a seem route. We all got to watch Luke grow, he won't be making those types of mistakes.

3. Cam was off all game. Hawk fans would have you believe it was their D that caused the errant passes, but that's just not the case on the majority of his misses. He was just off. He targeted Smith 13 times for only 4 catches. Most were over throws that just nearly missed the mark, but there was a screen late where Smith would have had room to run if Cam wouldn't have fired it with way too much velocity. There was some pressure, but not to the extent that he couldn't have put some touch on the pass.

4. Amini struggled. They used multiple line stunts to confuse the rookie and it worked. Gross was left having to choose between 2 rushers on more than one occasion. He's improved- but may not even play.

5. Seattle's DL had some beef last year we had trouble moving, I think we'll be better with the loss of Piggy.

6. Browner was routinely beat by Smith, Cam just didn't throw the ball or it was off the mark. You could see Steve's quickness gave him trouble.

Wilson played pretty well, but he didn't beat the Panthers; the Panthers did. It was ugly and it was their own doing. Now Seattle has a lot of confidence and that can do wonders, but if we make minimal improvements, based on last years game, this is a very winnable game.

Love what you said and how you said it.

My no.1 concern is Cam's accuracy. If he's on we win outright.

Fortunately there is another way to slide in the W and that's if our D plays to their potential.

They have the ability to take over a game. But I still hope Cam is on and  shows progress in his game. Footwork!

I remember one play in particular where Smith had the CB completely beaten - moreso than Moose burning Tyrone Poole in the Super Bowl.

Cam never looked. My whole section was groaning in agony with Steve Smith all by himself on a 30 yard island while Cam was staring down either Murphy or LaFell on the other side.

I agree Cam simply had a rotten day that was not caused by Seattle's defense.

      Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.

      Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.

      I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
