Our loss compared to the Bucs loss- which was worse?

Bucs likely had it won, but a dumb penalty put the Jets in FG position and stopped the clock that allowed Jets to get set up.  Jets win with 2 seconds on the clock on game-winning FG.

Um us, we gave our game away to a good team that would've given us momentum.

In my mind, easily ours.  I don't care about any other NFL teams, so ours is absolutely worse.  Our loss will piss me off all day, their loss will..well, nothing because I don't care.

Freeman marches downfield puts his team in FG and they make the game winning FG.

 

Jets get the ball back, Geno with under 30 seconds, Geno scrambles to about the 50, yard line,

David hits geno when he was out of bounds, 15 yarder,

 

Jets make FG and win the game LOL

Bucs up by 2 Geno Smith scrambles down the sideline with about 5 seconds left and a Bucs defender pushes him when he is out of bounds. 15 yard penalty puts the Jets in field goal distance, field goal good, Jets win by 1.

A loss is a loss.  But I would rather lose to a good team than a bad one.

Both are equally as bad as one another.

 

In the Buccaneers case they had the game won, and then one of their players makes the stupid decision to push Geno when he is out of bounds, and in doing so, he gets the Jets within field goal range and costs them a game. Players should know the rules and what can happen if they do something stupid like this, and for me it would be a hard defeat to take because they threw it away. That said, the Buccaneers did play well enough to win this game, would be the positive spin on it. 

 

As for us, well we threw it away by not executing plays, dropped catches and fumble. If the fumble didn't occur, and the drops were caught, then things might have gone our way and we would have been celebrating a victory today. So that is the positive spin for us, but for us to score only 7 points is VERY worrying, and the fact that this offense has yet to fully click is also VERY worrying. 

 

Overall, I would say the Buccaneers loss was a kick in the teeth for their fans, but ours was a defeat that is all to reminiscent of recent seasons, and failing to execute plays.
