Let's hope to god not. Dude sucks and isn't exactly a need on a team with major needs. If we did get tge first pick though, a lot of teams will be giving us a poo load in return for the #1 pick to get clowney.

Same here. He has really disappointed me so far this year.

Well if the players are feeling this play calling, lets extend Shula and cut the morons who keep fuging up....bet they'd change their tone then huh?

I think now is the time to shake the foundation. Last year, the Hurney firing set the tone. Someone needs to fall on the sword for this and be gone if it will wake this team up again.

Personally, I just don't think we have enough talent to run the schemes on offense we are trying to run. Our offensive line doesn't scare anyone and we are not going to cause match up problems. Offensive scheming like Kelly's mask weaknesses and stretch the field by capatilizing on a simple QB read. We really have got to some how out scheme the other team because our talent is just not going to cut it.

10 tackles 2 sacks a forced fumble and a few tackles for a loss and your disappointed? Talk about drinking the ESPN kool aid. Clowney has been placed on a pedestal so high the only way down is to fall off into a sea of hate. His stats are comparable to last season at this point and they've only played one OOC. Give it time.

Yeah maybe I am but I had really REALLY high expectations for him especially after his Clemson and Michigan games to end the year last year.

I'm not an SC fan so I'm not holding him as high. Is he a great player? Of course. But is he the unstoppable force that will bring on the days prophesied in Revelations? No. That seems to be what everyone though. If Zues were a quarterback he'd be shaking at the site of Clowney. That's really unfair though and he brought that on himself but he seriously has played well. Every play in the Carolina game he was disruptive. Even if he wasn't a factor, just by being in the game he has an effect.

Just remember that as you guys cruise the rest of the way. Luckily Shaw has come into his own.

Like turning short fields into touchdowns.

"We didn't do that," Rivera said, "and that will come back and get you."

This quote was at the the very end of the article "settling for field goals proves costly" on panthers.com

Well if you knew they'd prove costly like everyone else watching the game did. Why in fugging hell would you not go for it on 4th and 1 and seal the victory. If Rivera ever runs out of money which I'm sure he will due to a Internet scam atleast he will be able to claim disability benefits.

I want this little bitch gone.

Amen. I cant stand looking at him. Sunday me and my buddy's plan on booing every time something goes wrong until we get our point across that as fans we are not going to put up with this. Already made phone calls to get this done. Everybody might as well join section 534 cause our opinions will be expressed

Anyone who calls their team Carolina, be it UNC, USC, or the Panthers are perpetually disappointed. Did you see Pete Carrol go for it on 4th down in the 2nd quarter. NEVER would we see that in Carolina.

Funny how JR doesnt want college coaches but the 2 best teams in the NFL are college coaches turned NFL coaches.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
