Sooooo.... DeAngelo Williams......

We are 3 games into the season.....and Barner and Stewart are hurt. A little premature with the Williams is finally a good value soapbox...

I mean right now Calvin Johnson isn't even in the top 10 in receiving yards for example....is he a bad value? No. Season has simply barely started.

Whatever happens, Williams will go down as a poor value over the course of his contract. Is that his fault? No...it is the fault of the organization that did exactly what you argued they should do....over invest at RB

I hate to say but we have no guarantees that Barner or Stew get on the field this year or play well. In which case Deangelo will have a 1200 yd season. Which will help us win games. I have no doubt gettleman is cutting bait with someone (perhaps 2 )next year. I still have too much hope in this season to worry about it yet.

Win Games. Make Playoffs. Cam Tell ESPN to Suck It. Deangelo can help that happen so Deangelo running well= Good

I'm sure J-Stew is healthy enough to play. The PUP list was probably used to shelve him until later in the year when 30 year old Deangelo starts to wear down after having a big workload early in the year. I expect Stewart to get a lot of work the final 8 games or so.

Yep...

But I don't think Stewart is healthy yet. I expect Barner to get involved late as well

There you go changing it again.

Admit you were wrong that Williams is not a better value right now than Forte. Don't try and predict the future and bring up the past.  You said Forte was a better value I showed you were wrong.

Go ahead admit it.  If you can.

It's the over the top comments that keep these type player threads going....

Everyone likes Williams in reality. Impossible to dislike him.

Our crazy front office is the only reason he gets put in a negative light at times

But to claim he is suddenly a top 5 RB now at age 30.....is basically like claiming Megatron and AJ Green aren't top 10 WRs bc there yardage a mere 3 games in doesn't have them ranked in the top 10.

Top 5. In. YARDAGE. Right now. Statistically and factually correct. We don't know where he will finish at the end of the season. But if you project his yard per carry/ number of carries as of right now over the whole season he would finish very high in yardage. Not saying ability , that's always subjective.

I don't see how that's an over the top statement. It's just Math. As of now Stew isn't playing and until I see it I'm not counting on it. So as the facts stand right now that is where Deangelo is statistically. Injuries or carry numbers when/if Stew/Barner come back are impossible to predict right now. What's wrong saying that if he can pull a Corey Dillon/Stephen Davis and put together a good season at 30 that will help the team? To me saying that is negligible is way more over the top then anything I've said

Your "window" is so small your arguement is based on.....it is silly. Williams has proven over the course of his contract to be a poor value. Your entire arguement is looking at 3 games with 2 RBs on the shelf.....finally makes him a good value for a 3 game window.

Again, your same thought process applied merely to a different position claims Megatron is a poor value

And you throw out Forte's TDs in your spin....he would be on pace for a 15+ TD season if his current production remained steady over the course of the season.

CRA has bitched and moaned for years about how Williams is over the hill so he can't go back and change his mind.  So instead of being wrong, he gives left handed complements which he takes back with the next post. Anyone who can't admit he is wrong about anything won't go back and say you are right.  He always has to change the argument so he can save face.

Lol

Pretty much all our players had a great game but fug if they get any recognition that's just more time this board has to spend not worshipping deangelo and we just can't have that

Hold up a second you Bastard )

Who's cherry picking which guys stats count and who's don't?

That...would...be...you.

what kind of dumbass crushes a starter on there on team for having a good game in a win?

Oh wait a minute I think I know the answer to this one too....

Go ahead and admit it. You were wrong.  Williams is a better value than Forte based on yards per run, touches per dollar and yards per dollar.  Stop trying to save face here and just admit it for once. You were wrong, plain and simple.  Otherwise I have lost any respect I might have had for you.  Anyone who can't admit they are wrong is not worth debating with.

You said Williams is a top 5 RB again.

Then Cecil Shorts is a top 10 WR and Megatron, AJ Green aren't

Again, Williams is running good. Why can't it be just that. Why do we have to suddenly try to act like this RB contract fiasco wasnt so and now he is some dominant top RB

right. How any of the contract poo is relevant right now is beyond me. These fugers are making me drink faster.

panthers55, in all honesty it seems like you aren't reading what CRA is saying.

He is determined to "beat me" in this RB talk..... All stems from back before we foolishly paid 2 RBs featured money. I was against it.....he was for it.
