Giants fan observations at the game

Some were fairly ok...most seemed to be drunken mouth-breathing morons.  Saw one guy walking around with two beers spilling everywhere, slack-jawed, like he couldn't comprehend what was happening.

To the Giant fan(s), who, when the announcer asked for a moment of silence prior to the singing of the National Anthem, you yelled out "Go Giants" to a silent stadium, yeah boy, really classy, keep up that Yankee asshole bullshit and then wonder why we hate you so fuging much.

I think it was easily 40-60 Giants to Panthers fans in the concourses at least.  So damn happy today that we shut them up and they were the ones who walked out early, in shame, in tears, realizing their season is over.

The Giant's fans around me seemed like big babies. This one guy behind us seemed to think that the big news story was how he was feeling about the game. Because he is a Giant's fan and they are important.

A bunch were being complete assholes on the walk out. One guy was following a couple around and ragging on the wife.

Would have gotten his ass beat elsewhere.

But the funniest part was when I came back into town for dinner and there was a lone Giant's fan in front of Rock Bottom just sort of screaming to himself. Game is over buddy

I only saw a few. I honestly thought they were worse last year when they beat us. Completely no class to the home team that had lost. They ragged on our fans and what not. This year there were a couple rowdy ones mostly wearing Yankee paraphernalia, maybe that's why they were so rude. But where I was, not too many bad ones. I will admit they have too much pressure on all their teams to perform and when they don't, fans can be absolutely horrible. They are too used to having winning franchises whether it be baseball or football.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
