Smitty will be on Jim Rome show today

Smith absolutely crushed it.  Dropped so much knowledge.

My little recap won't do the interview any justice, so I'll post the interview once they put it up on the CBS sportsradio website.

Rome asked Smith what it's like to hear criticism about teammates in the media, specifically Cam.  Paraphrasing, Smith said "It's hard because as teammates we all become so close.  We go through so much as a team; training camp, practices.  When we spend so much time together, working together, running, puking, picking each other up and spending 8 hours a day together in the offices.  We have each other's back like brothers.  Cam might have looked at me the wrong way during training camp one time, and I could use that in my mind to say 'OK I'm going to run the wrong route' to spite him.  But after being through so much together I could never do something like that."

That was what I remember Smith saying about Cam for the most part.

The link should be up soon for the interview.  There's no point in trying to recap because you just have to hear Smitty say it.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
