What is goin on with Josh Freeman?

Don't care about their record, but that kid can play. They took away his captaincy and now he's on the bench, all os a couple of weeks.

 

Part of me thinks Greg schiano and/or the organization don't want to pay him and are just doing him dirty. Other part of me says he may have become a distraction. I just don't get how you bench for Mike Glennon. I just think there is more than meets the eye here.

Read something earlier today about how Schiano recruited Glennon out of high school. Not sure of the validity, but it would make a little more sense as to why he rushed to put him in.

Could be the coach, but he had a lot of interceptions last year, and is completing under 50% of his passes this year.  Most QB's are eventually going to be benched with those kind of numbers.  Probably best for him if he does move on to another team.

I don't think I've ever heard of a team voting to remove a captain. Freeman must have really pissed off some teammates.

There's definitely more to it than getting benched because he sucks. I didn't know that ol greg had his eye on glennon since high school. Hopefully this will become a locker room cancer and their whole season goes down the drain.

Sucks for freeman because all the teams have QBs for a while.. dosent seem like he will get another starting job off the bat. Unfortunate because he can play.. he's not terrible. Maybe send him to Oakland? Arizona? Browns seem content with Hoyer right now
